I was gonna get there but it may be as simple as he's throwing a 20# leader on 15# line. I think all of us that c-rig with tungsten found out about the glass beads breaking and cutting line the hard way, at least I did I only use the orange plastic ones, now.

Made that mistake also, couldnt understand for a while why you would not want the leader to be the strongest heaviest line.

Funny how experience is something you acquire just after you need it, huh? I think most of us have learned a ton through trial and error. Just part of it.

I really like braid for my main line fluoro for the leader. You can really feel the bottom with the braid and your breaking problem will be solved -- my 2 cents.

Tungsten= broken glass bead, been there done that when tungsten first came out.
What knot are you using on your main line to the swivel? Are you using tungsten or lead? Glass or plastic bead?
You have to give us some responses so we can help you with your problem.

Still young, inexperienced, and making a lot of errors. Costing a lot of $$$ as well.

Hookset 50 bucks says you are snap setting. SWEEP the rod big long sweeping hookset. Removes the shock hit. And watch for any wear from beads and weights.
