What are the coupons attached to my Tx fish lic? #5949023 03/14/11 02:05 AM

For the last few years I have purchased my wife's and my non resident Texas fishing license on line. The license is surrounded with 14 small coupons attached. Each coupon reads
"Thank you for supporting Texas P&W. Not a valid tag, the document # and EXP N/A."

They make the license bulky to fold and keep in my billfold.

Can anyone tell me what the purpose of the coupons are and can I remove them without any consequence.

Thanks for any info

they are the tags if you buy a hunting lic. they would be printed with species of animals that you killed to out the tags on. they just use the same lic printout for fishing, hunting, or combo

If you cut or alter the license in any way it is void.

I would think that you could remove them. Every hunting license has tags that you remove. It alters the license, but it is still valid. Saltwater license has a red drum tag, which you remove.

You can remove the ones that say "not a valid tag". Any others you should leave on, as you might have need of them (e.g oversize red drum tag)

When we were trained to issue the licenses we were told you could not remove the tags except to use the valid tags.

Thanks for the info.

WIth the price of gas, I may have more room in my bilfold than I realized.
