Here's a video on how we like to rig for crappie fishin' here in Arkansas. Let me know what you think and how yall like to rig. I'm always wantin' to learn more ways to catch 'em.
Thanks,

Great video. I like the stick guard idea. I use No-Knot Fas-Snap when I'm fishing nonlive bait. Mathew Carrol/Jigum Jigs was showing this tip at a fishing/tackle show a couple of years ago. They sure make it easier when you are having to change out jigs/lures when you're trying to find what they want to hit that day. The link for these is below. Now of course in the picture they look huge, but they aren't. You can get them in 3-4 different sizes. Again, thanks for your tip.

Awesome video and some solid advice. I personally like slip bobbers because they make it very easy to cast a jig under a bobber and be able to fish a depths greater than 6 foot. Lately, I can not say enough how well the gulp minnows that are about one inch long do when stuck on a jig. The fish go nuts and we find that we catch more than just crappie. You can get them at Bass Pro Shops as well. Mayber we'll make a video, but I have to say I like your style.
