I like the Falcon Lowrider LFC-5-168 Angler of the Year rod. That is what I use. You could get the Cara version but don't think you really need it for spinnerbait.

I use a 7ft. med action cranking rod from St. Croix. It's versatile to throw top water, crankbaits, spinners and buzzbaits.
Caost is about $80 to $100. (at Basspro)

I really like the Falcon Lowrider rods. I'm sure there are other good rods around that price point, but they are available at the local Academy and their (Academy's) return policy is excellent.

Check out the duckett micro magic rods. I use a 6'9 medium heavy for mid sized spinnerbaits and like it alot.

Dobyns Savvy series 734c, great rod at a great price, has a good tip that will load up for you and plenty of backbone to drive the hook home and handle a big fish and they are super light

The lowrider are as good as any rod in that price range. Just bought a new Falcon this weekend as a matter of fact.

I agree with Jay-- Check out the Duckett micro eyes. Saturday at Belton I caught an 11lb.11oz.--CARP-- (just under the dorsal fin) on my new Duckett 7ft med. cranker using an H & H spinner. It handled all the lifting and pulling to get the carp in very well.
I was throwing many different baits with this rod just to see what worked best. It threw ALL I tested very well, from 3/8 spinners to 5/8 crank baits. I have many rods from Bass Pro,Low riders, Caras, St Crois, Custom etc, but this rod worked better for me than any others. I will be buying several Duckett rods and retiring some of those that cost more.
