I have a Lowrance HDS 8 and just recently purchased the Navionics Hot Maps Premium. I can not get this card to load. There are zero directions and I have gone to the menu where you can select Navionics or Lowrance. When I select Navionics i just get a blue and tan screen. Its hard to explain but it looks like it could be water and land with zero detail.

Am I missing somthing here? Help please.

Dan

Number 1. Did you check the list of waters included in the Navionics Software to see if the ones you are interested in are included before you bought it?

Number 2. When you selected Navionics in the map data menu, did you select what state/area for the unit to read?

Go to YouTube and they offer "how to" videos on loading map chips. Do a Navionics search.

Wayne P. #1 yes. #2 Didn't see a screen to select state.

69 Goatman, I have gone to youtube several times. Most the vids are more advertising. I have yet to find one that walks through loading it step by step.

Skeeter is right. I should just call Navionics. I've done multiple searches on this subject throughout the net and just figured if someone could help it would be right here in the forums.

I bet you are going to have to download the update so that your Lowrance will work on the mini-sd card, I had to do that too with mine, the older regular size cards will work, but the new ones don't!!!

They now have a 3.5 version which I suppose should have the mini card reader on it also!!!
