Hi all ! What do the more experienced guys know about a safety flag on your tube (mine's a Togiak). I am thinking these are the long whippy orange flags kids have on their bikes (?). The 2x I had my tube out, I fished a cove at Lewisville.....I can see wanting to have something like this for the boats that may not see you. Thanks !

n2fishin' and I both wear orange ball caps, much like what you'll see a hunter wear. They are visible for 360 degrees, and is a color that should never be misindentified as something natural at the lake. Anytime I'm in an area frequented by boats, I'll use it. I bought mine at Academy for under $5.00.
As for the flag, I don't even see the ones anymore we used to use on bicycles.
Another idea that is small enough to carry in a tube pocket is one of the air horns that attach to the small can of compressed air. That might be a good idea also.

I do this as well.....I also use one of those big orange floatation vests just for more color. I have my little noisemaker as well in the form of a whistle. Thanks Kelly ! p.s. I am gonna try to hit it this weekend as my two classes at NCTC are coming to an end.
