I'm mostly a bass guy but the wife has a taste for the paper mouths. Used to catch them easy back in AR (yea, take it easy on me) but TX is a whole new world. Gonna take the daughter with me next week to LL to try to catch a few and would love some info. Private messages will stay private. Thanks ahead of time guys.

Come on guys. Not asking for the tx winning pattern. Just want some info that could make the grease hot for the wife.

I haven't been out to LL lately but I would look at the usual spots. Little elm area should be turning on soon. Check the brige at each end and timber at 15 to 18ft.
Give em a choice of blk/chart jigs and always take some minners too. Start at 10ft and go down 2ft at a time until somebody bites.

Good advice by BigMack. Fished LL alot this winter. Most of the crappie we caught were on red/chart. and black/chart.

Thanks guys. With the weather lately should we try some shallow spawning areas?

This time of year, I did well (many years ago) in the creeks north of Little Elm. Night time with lanterns. Some of the creeks, people put lots of brush along the banks for habitat. Good Luck- watch the winds.
