Man a few weeks ago there was a new Dunlap report every couple of days. Now I dont think I could pay for one! Fishing must be good because the fisherman are as tight lipped as a Dunlap Largemouth! lol...

The spawn has to be starting so what is going on?

I was there today. Fishing has been kinda tough. No real pattern to speak of. I caught 3 total and 2 werent keepers by a long shot! All fish were fairly deep for the time of year, about 9-10 feet.

Havent been to dunlap in awhile. Went to Meadow Lake this past saturday and caught 7, 3 were keepers

Do they ever clean the floating trash out of Dunlap?

no, the wakeboats will push it up on the bank pretty soon though.
i haven't been in a couple of weeks but its gotta be getting close to frog time out there.

Parking lot has been jammed pack the last few weekends and now with an increasing amount of wakeboat trailers.

Fishing has been ok, not like last year but I think the weather has been a factor.

Word was just starting to get out last year. Bass in the top 1/4 of the lake have seen every lure under the sun, plus they now have learned to take it easy on live shad. You can only beat a lake that small so hard for so long.

for everyone worried about dunlap don't forget there are several more lakes just like dunlap downstream.
drove over placid a couple times this weekend and there was nobody there.
quit cryin and go fishing!
