Ropes are gone and boats are making it up the creek a good ways. Not to henrietta unless you can carry it. Fishing was slow today because of the cool night last night. Did manage 25-30 fish in a couple of hours between 3 of us.

Went up the creek today, Was way west of 377 bridges, fished for one hour and I nailed 15 nice sandys. They were in 5 feet of water up tight in some brush in center of creek. Had to move really slowly. Including this really nice one

Hi,lonewolf, were you fishing at your favorite spot near the hole? We met several times last year. I am the Asian guy. I will try my little boat this weekend up there.

Mountain bike would be nice. You do have to cross a few dry creek feeders and the one discharge from the water treatment plant. I got my rods snagged a few times just walking the trail so you may break a rod on a bike. It is a hike.

Is Marshall Creek any good? I have never fished this area for Sandies. I am taking my 8yr old boy and know he wont want to walk forever.

I guess your walk depends on where you park and how far up the river you want to go. The creek goes right under 377 and I always see folks fishing right there, that would be a short walk. Last time I bank fished it we walked from 377 up to henrietta hole, it was over a mile one way. Near the hole we did run into a big fat cotton mouth suning on the trail by the river, that was 2 years ago. I understand that you cant park off 377 anymore so that might add to the walking.

george, scooter, take a look in the bank fishing section. Should be some related threads current to the last day or two.

Scooter you would be better off at Trophy Club Park. Formerly Marshall Creek Park. The banks are not safe for adults much less children on Denton Creek. I have fallen in and had several friends do the same. The banks are very steep. Besides, the parking lot will be full there on 377 before the sun comes up in the morning.
