The Reds were running between 38 and 40 at PINS. We fished the south Jetties and caught a few, but we didn't drive down the beach to PINS because we were not set up for it. Good luck.

Good luck with the spring break crowd..
Drop into Deep Sea headquarters ( they are on your left as you get off the ferry) and talk to them. They may give you some ideas. I hear that Caldwell pier is usually pretty good, although I've never fished it. Might try the south jetty...but dont go too far out on it. I've caught most of my fish from that jetty less than 50 yards from the beach, on the beach side. While you're there, be sure and try the tuna dip and the grilled Amberjack at Virginia's.
Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

You could try one of the party boats and do a half day/full day trip, or a longer tuna trip.
Me and some other guys are going out of Dolphin Docks Saturday on the 36hr trip. Had a good time last year, boat caught over 300 blackfin. Hoping for a repeat this year.

Too many spring breakers, make sure you go early, the ferry can get up to an hour wait coming from aransas pass. Jetties get crowded too so be early as well. Good fishing though.

Spring breakers hadn't shown up when we got to town. The trip however sucked. Winds forced us to not go to the floaters. So we bounced around to several different smaller platforms, and got into a few AJs and barracuda. boat caught a bunch of bonita and some jack crevalle. I spent much of the day over the rail. Never gotten seasick like that before. Although it may have been a combo of hungover/seasick/diesel fumes. I had a bit too much to drink Friday night expecting a 12 hour run heading to a floater somewhere to sleep it off. That changed and we only ran about 5 hours before starting fishing.
