from Irving: somewhere on Beltline headed south or MacArthur headed South, don't remember the cross street, I think it Hunter Ferril(?) I've never been there - just heard - does anyone know about this Rock Quarry? and if so - would it be east of beltline or west of beltline? off of what street? etc...

Wow that is pretty vague. I would go to www.maps.google.com website & check it out. Be sure to use the Satellite optoin once you get close and let us know where it is.

I know the place you are talking about. I have fished there in the past and got skunked, every time, but that was several years ago.
Good Luck

fishn dude: If you don't know - why the response?
Kevin Crabtree you do know what I mean right? If you can't be helpful why the sarcasm?
Does the mortgage industry make one smarter? Be sure and post for all of us to know.

I used to kill'em there in '94 and '95. I haven't fished those ponds since '96. Head south on Beltline thru little Korea and towards Lone Star Park. You'll take a right before you get to LSP and the ponds will be accessed through a rough dirt road on your left. It used to be kinda a dumping ground at the entrance. It also used to be 4X4 only if it was damp at all. If it is dry a two-wheel drive with some clearance would be OK. You used to also be able to pass the dirt road and rollow the road as it turns left. You could park under the power lines and walk down to the ponds. Use the power lines as a landmark. They run right through the middle of the gravel pits and are easy to spot.

Right on Oakdale or Wildlife??
I've fished the ponds North of Wifelife but haven't caught much. They are pretty shallow.
I've driven around that area ALOT and can't for the life of me find what road your all talking about.. I did see one that looked like a junk yard road thingy but it has a gate/wireloacked across it. Is that it??
