Can you put them on ice overnight if you get back from the lake late and don't wanna clean them til morning?

yes, you can. I sometimes pack with ice but leave the drain open so they dont get waterlogged when the ice melts...

I sometimes leave them on ice for several days with my drain plug pulled to release the slime. Doesn't hurt them a bit.

If you keep your minnow bag and put them it when your through fishing then put them on ice they won't get all slimey and be as fresh as when you caught them.
