i throw jigs over there all the time. never heard anything from anybody.

As long as your with someone that has a boat on the slips or you have a slip u can....

Fished the state park fishing barge today and no bites. I did see 3 crappie and a LMB caught while I was there.

I've always thought they were off limits? Only to people with slips?

I saw a locked gate to the slips. I just paid 3.00 and fished the barge.

Dang, same has happened to me the last couple of times i have been to that barge.

we charge 3.00 for the barge they dont really start biting good in there till they start really spawning....boat slip owners are aloud to have guests so as long as you know a slip owner and are with them you can fish in there with them

just wanted to know if the crappie are biting inside of the barge in SP? If so what are they hitting best jigs or minnows?

idk much bout the barge but they are biting pretty good on jigs in the slips
