STEVE B Extreme Angler S Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 2,202 odessa tx	i watched a show at lunch and they were fishing for pike or muskie or some toothy critter up north and they said they werent getting any bites untill about 30 minutes before the full moon rise. it was daylight when they were catching them. never heard anything like that before.... team BY -GOD.

J C Outdoors TFF Celebrity J Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,754 Mesquite,TX	Typically the full moon brings a lot of the staging fish into the spawning flats and the brings new fish into the staging areas. I have always heard that 3 days before and 3 days after are the best days. I prefer the 3 days before. Also I have seen increased movement of fish and big game when the moon is either directly overhead or directly underfoot as the saying goes. Hope this helps. Starting this Friday (11th) "the signs" are good thru the 16th and then LEAP to best thru the 21st then back to good thru the 28th. It can happen either side of peak full moon but I'd be sure to be on the water during peak FM just in case! I got a feeling Fork is gonna bust loose big time during the next 18 days. Check and double check your tackle 'cause some of ya's are going to be meeting a S.A.L.!! Get 'em to Cameron STAT! cause he's got the magic touch! Good luck to all! I believe those are referred to as major feeding periods, moon rise and moon set are the minors..

Bought all new life jackets but still need two more for granddaughters if they find out I am wetting a line! 1st time for the boat in Tx waters since moving here. Long time bass fisherman, in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, West by God Virginia,Minnesota,Indiana,Canada and now my new home state of Texas.
