Our fall float tube bass tourney will be October 2nd at Mineral Wells State Park. Be sure to visit www.lsfta.com and click on the tournament banner for more info. If anyone can come up with sponsors or if you need flyers to distribute at your favorite tackle shops, let me know. Jerry is taking some to BPS and Academy in NRH. Remember, the more entrants, the more $$$, and the more places we'll be able to pay. Shoot me an email if you need anything or have any questions. Also, those who had previously said you were in need of a tube for the tournament, be sure to let me know asap, so we can round some up. Let's get a roll call. Who's still planning on attending?

I'm fairly certain I can make it Randy, as long as nothing work related comes up; that is a really good looking lake and with cooler temps by then we should all catch something! Thanks again for taking the initiative to organzie this. I will do what I can to help, I have a spare tube if anyone needs to borrow one, if you need anything written up, pictures taken, etc. just let me know and I'll see what I can do, hope we have a bunch of people should be a blast!

I'll be there with several modifications to my pontoon , thanks to the website that Kelly steered me to. Fishbrain are you going to pick up fishinaddiction so he can fish too?

Hmm, I don't know if I will make this tournament because of Rule #9, livewell. What do you guys do? I have never fished in a tournament before, just for fun.

It's pretty easy to make one. You can use a mesh laundry basket, then make a frame out of pvc. Wrap the pvc with foam pipe insulation for flotation. Fashion a lid of some sort, and you're set. You can also buy floating mesh "bait wells" at BPS and some other stores. I think they're in the saltwater section.
N2fisnin1 is bringing 2 newbies, btw. Keep spreading the word!

Now you're getting the idea! You'll see some rigs outfitted similiar to that at the tourney.
Notice the PVC in the bottom pic with the transducer hanging off the bottom of it? Just another way to mount one.
Also, if you don't want your rod handles being saturated all day, raise the rod holder where the bottom isn't below the water line, or seal the bottom off so it's water tight.

I guess you won't have an idea of how many will be there until the actual day of the event? I am going to try my hardest to make it.
