When I fish here it's usually Lake Woodlands, though you won't be seeing any spoonbills coming out of that lake. Various ponds here as well. awesome catch! where in the woodlands do you fish?

Really Good? Don't know about that. I have eaten them as a kid when I was growing up and while yes, they are edible, catfish are better. One cool thing is they don't have bones! Congrats on the catch. I hear that spoonbills are really good eating.

Great catch. Congrats. I have tried to purposely catch "snag" them in Oklahoma where it is legal, but I have yet to catch one. In fact it is that time of year for it.
