wow, a 12. I was just looking at an 11ft predator from cabelas for 59.99. I think I may go ahead and get one of these. What do you think of the ACS freerunner series reel? at 56 bucks it looks hard to beat. that makes $123.52 for rod and reel shipped. I don't know if I can beat that.

SSF, looks like we will be Euro-wannabees here pretty soon huh? Or at least I will. Looks like your setup will be pretty nice.

well i don't know if one rod will make that big a difference but with that reel I blew up on Saturday its not like I had a lot of choice. I have a reel i can put on that 8ft berkley but that will put my rhino titanium out of action. Not sure that I can do that. That damn 14 dollar rod has caught 3 or 4 20's for me. So I got this deal and I'll switch some reels around and see what I can get into the water by saturday. I also got those pop ups from royal carp for the joe pool kidfish, an ACS landing mat, a spool of that power pro, some base mix for boilies and some hemp pellets to try out. If people don't know better I might look like I know what I'm doing.

Maybe a stupid question, never targetting carp i guess but why do you need a 12' rod? casting distance maybe???

Since we got on the topic of hemp... I've been reading that carp love the stuff but I've also heard they like chocolate. I'm thinking of adding a little hersheys to my corn for the next batch... Thoughts? I'm also thinking of adding some of my range cubes to another batch.... Thoughts? I think I'll also try some of those gummy candies I gave you last time we were out... thoughts?

Dude, sorry for hijackin' your thread Maaan!

Your guy's should get your reels and rods at BPS. When they blow up you can just take them back for a new one no questions asked. I have done it a few times with broken rods and have had no problems.
