You do realize that once you put your money into all that gear that you will catch less carp?

Seriously though, I would recommend ordering from the states or Canada as shipping costs from the UK can be kinda high. For example 1 rod can cost as much or more than $60. Ten floats could run you $18-26 in shipping. What you could do is look at an item Dave, Paul...sells then contact a UK supplier and see what the shipping cost is, I'm willing to bet in most cases it's cheaper to get it from the states or Canada. There are a few exceptions.. but if you must have something not sold around here, then by all means remember me when you go to resell it someday. It couldn't hurt to contact state carp forums, many members aren't on CAG and check out their sell/trade section or ask what someone might have for sale. There are some great deals out there. There have been some steals on TFF lately, I'm always 3 hours late in seeing them though. 3.25 Trekkers

I would go with the Wacker kit, upgrade to the 4500 Plus reels. They are solid and will get you started well. Unless you can wait and get different pieces used from others, as Don (lepomis4life) mentioned.
Once you're in it a while you will probably start upgrading anyway as you find out what you like, see others' equipment in action, etc.

yeah, stay away from uk tackle shops at first. There are about 5 or 6 us/canada shops to choose from. Eventually when you are buying $500 rods you can shop over there and make the high shipping worth it, if they will even ship to the us. Most wont

If you guys are just ordering tackle then Johnson & Ross is the place to order from. Everthings in stock and you have a wide selection of brands. They don't charge uk sales tax so unless customs stop it and put a charge then it works out cheaper. Last time I ordered shipping was 30 bucks. I ordered it on a sat, was shipped monday and I got it tuesday which is pretty amazing. I worked out the cost of what I ordered here and saved 20 bucks, got all my favourite brands, got it quicker and everything was is stock. Worth looking into if ur gonna spend a hundred bucks or more.

I think you'd be best off with the Wacker kit. Nothing against BFS, but I've heard a lot of people having problems with their reels.
