Depends on how you want to fish for them If you are after schooling fish then a road runner is hard to beat I especially like them because of the single hook vs the treble hook My next choice would have to be a rattle trap for schoolers However i did buy several fast alley's from Moes the other day which i havn't had a chance to use yet These baits look like they should do a great job on the white bass whether it be slabbing for suspended fish or fish chasing shad on top of the water. Right now dead sticking with plastics seems to be the prefered method check out moes website.

The water is still a little cool for the slab bite, however you can catch them with a very slow presentation near the bottom. When the water is this cool the fish just barely tap the lure, pay attention, if you feel anything set the hook. We have been catching a lot of hybrids and large sand bass on Cocomoe lures from www.moestackleshop.com we also did rather well using SmackBait and sassy shad from the same source. Check out the videos from Tony Parker and Superduck.

For me it's the Mark Parker Special (1.5 Casting Slab) from TNT http://www.trollingnolanstackle.com/casting.htm or it's a 4 inch sassy shad form Phamtom Tackel http://www.phantomtackle.com/shim.htm in #021 Banana (Silk Chartreuse). Keep it simple (the more you fish the less you will use), my boat catching 20,000 fish per year caught on just these baits can not be wrong (PS: 97% on the Mark Parker Special Slabs Year Round - I'm just saying and I get nothing for their sales). It's all you need (hope that helps),

These are great threads! If you want to get all your soft plastics, jig heads, spoons, tail spinners, slabs, tail dip, so on and so forth; Click this www.moestackleshop.comOr you can spend more $$$$ and get some slabs at one web site, soft plastics at another, and jig heads from yet another site. You can also put $ 3.45/gal gas in your rig and drive to a big box store and pay more $$$ and talk to a sales person that does not fish for stripers?? Oh yeah I forgot; call this ph# 214-906-3847 and I can get ya up to date on how fishing is going?? My opinion is a bit slanted, but I think those B the facts?? By the way Mark, Phantom Tackle is a wholesale company?? If you want to pay $ 0.375 for shad feel free. Bet you don't see a slab report til April?

We're short a couple of Moes Tackle plugs....
For artificials for Sandies and Hybrids you need:
Slabs(hunk of lead with a hook on it, color don't matter as much as you think, the action of the bait does) Swimbaits(sassy shad, storm wildeyes, shanghai shad, whatever) Topwaters(pop-r, chug bug, pencil popper, whatever)
Chartreuse, White, or anything shiny
Any fine tackle establishment will have a good assortment of those whether it be online or in a box store.

For me it's two slabs. Less than 15 ft. deep a TNT 180. More than 15 ft. a TNT Mark Parker Special. The 180 falls a little slower. Both 1.5 oz. Swim baits a 4" sassy shad is hard to beat. Schooling fish a chrome or shad color Red Eyed Shad. Thats my two cents worth. Mike

Bet you don't see a slab report til April? I normally order a few hundred at a time (I get em a little cheaper than that, but not much). Actually the cheapest thing I do in fishing is the lures I use - And I Want to Use The BEST! So Price is not a big concern when it comes to the baits I use - I want the best! What do you have? The 4" Naanaa ? If so (and you think it compares) send me a few and I'll order next from you. PS: All of these were caught on Slabs last Firday 3/4/11 on RC from TNT - The Mark Parker Special There is your slab report (and I would think at least a thousand again before April on slabs) Use the KISS method - Keep It Simple Stupid - IT WORKS,

Buckhunter,
Without a doubt, you cannot go wrong with some TNT 180's for the sandbass and hybrids.

Sold out of glow. Got some coming soon. Mark glad you like Phantom, I do too. I buy 5,000 at a time and pass that savings on to all these great TFF'rs.
Waiting on some banana to arrive. Might just surprise ya with a sample pack. It's kind of funny that you seem to have a pre-judged opinion of me??? I try not to do that?? I don't recall ever meeting you?
