I haven't been out there yet this year. I might try some fishing from the bank over the weekend though. I'll report back if I make it out.

They were biting at the intake a month ago. Haven't been since our recent cold/warm/cold/warm spell.

I went out Saturday and Sunday without any luck. I used minnows under a slip cork from the bank and stayed out for about 2 hours each afternoon.

No I tried shallow for 3 hours and didn't get hit once but with the weather just now turning it was just a tease. I found them between 9-12ft deep. I'm thinking a couple of week more like we have had they will start moving in slowly

Any recent crappie reports at Phantom? There were a few fish up shallow on Thursday afternoon but I'd be willing to bet they moved out a little because of this cold spell.

Several hotels and motels right off the interstate and highway 351. Puts you less than 10 min from being in the water.
