Looking at spending 2 days on tawakoni over spring break. Don't want to have a stump kill the pontoon I we will be in. Anyone have any good boat lane maps or similar maps to keep us out of the stumps? Have fished fork the past 10 spring breaks or so with my parents coming down. Now, it is more relaxation fishing and family time versus finding that 10 pound bass spawning. We are more or less juglining and striper/hybrid hunting...and if the pontoon blows up on a n bedding bass or two in the back of a cove, then that is icing on the cake.

Not sure if you can find a decent free one on line. You may have to spend the money and by a map at bait shop or walmart. It is not a tough as Fork to get around.

Its a good question Dan-O. I've looked online for one but can't find one either. Unfortunately, hook-n-line does not have a Tawakoni map either that I can find.
If you find something, I'd sure appreciate it if you or anyone would post it here also.

No marked boat lanes.. Buy a map. Stumps are in Middle of lake and stay out from points because they can be shallow. TGhe map will show all this but its not 100% right. Good luck.

I will go to academy tomorrow and stock up on carolina rigged gear for the cats on rods and reels...and check out the maps they have. Will just go slow and easy and look for areas of little or no wind if it gets windy...if it is possible. Family outing...parents, myself, and my daughter. Will bring plenty of hot dogs for bait...blues just can't resist hot dogs if I can't find any shad...

Get the Texas Lakes & Bays Fishing Atlas. It has all the local lakes including Twok and where the stumps are on the lake. I picked on up at Walmart for $10 in '09. Academy may carry it also. My family will go camping for two nights (16, 17) at Twok State Park during spring break also

I found Navionics paper maps for all the lakes we fish in the TSA at Gander Mountain in Corsicana.
