Did not see a lot of people out yesterday afternoon. People would show up for about 5-10 min then leave. For me if I could hold the jig as still as possible and you would get a hit. Caught about 20 and had 7 keepers.

Congrats. I guess I should have gone. Where you out in your kayak?

Yep I took the yak. Just a little creek. Need to trade it for a two seater SOT so me and my little girl can go.

I've gone out twice so far but wasn't after the crappie however on my last trip I wish I had my crappie gear. I found a butt load of em on the graph.

I have never attempted to crappie fish, although i bought a bunch of gear recently to do just that. I am hoping i can find them when i go out on the 14th. what part of the lake were youin when you found them? I am going to be near johnson branch, probably won't paddle more than a 3 mile radius that day unless the wind is calm.

Buck creek east of the bridge south side in the trees between the first and second coves. They were suspending between 6-11 ft. They weren't holding real tight to the trees maybe 2-3ft from them. If u have a graph u will find em. When I was at Johnson branch I didn't see many schools and I covered that entire area. From the main lake all the way up in the creek on both sides.

Drive around right now and find areas that people are fishing in creeks. I talk to people and listen to stories. I think any creek that is 6-8' deep that is warming up to about 60's. Around bridges.

thanks for sharing. I do have a graph, and I will be out there all day on the 14th. I will make sure to chart some spots on my GPS as well. Took the 14th adn 15th off to fish, hopefully it will be warmer than today.

I have to confess I'm not much of a crappie fisherman. What are you catching them on?

Blue white, black and chartreuse, red chartreuse on a 1/16 1/8 jig head. Depending on the wind.
