We are making our annual trip down to Lake Fork on these dates and I wanted to get your ideas and estimations on what the spawn is going to look like at that time.
Do you think the majority of the fish will be on beds at this time or starting to move off of them or just starting to move on them. I am sure its still kind of early to tell but based on what the weather is doing now, what are your estimations?

This is a vague answer I know but both. Some will be finished and moving off, some will be going full strength and some will not have started depending on what part of the lake you will be fishing. More finished up north, some starting, during and finished mid lake and some more starting and during south end.
FISHING NOW NOT WORKING ANYMORE

Like Pumadon says, you will have both patterns going. Either way, you should do really good.
Good luck and be safe out there.

There is not enough shoreline for all of the bass in that lake to spawn at the same time. Their will still be bedding fish in late April and early May. March full moon will bring a lot of big fish to the bedding areas. Back off the skinny water and fish the 5' to 9' and get some of those bigguns. Great timing for your trip.

We found one that seemed to be guarding a bed July 1st on a night trip with Richie White. He attacked my worm then was off. Guess he lost his calender.

What I mean by full is that in April, you can usually go anywhere on the lake and find bed fish. There are fish spawning in Northern creeks right now, and the will continue too. But in April, it doesnt matter where you go, you will normally find beds.

There is a old saying.... "When spring comes in like a lamb it goes out like a lion". We will likely get another cold blast... it is a [censored] shoot when it will happen. When you have to lock in on a specific date that is the chance you take.
And I know who "Jeff" is.

We moved it back a little year to try to avoid the snow
