Decided that the fish in the middle of the lake needed to meet me. I have been on the banks and paddle boats for 12 years now. The main lake was not an option at that time. And, I had all this space in the corner of the garage.



So, I went down the street to have a chat with Tommy at Plano Marine.Marine.

Left Plano Marine at noonish with a New G3 Center Console w/ all the bells including Aa Hummingbird SI (Side Scan).



Thought about who to take on the maiden voyage, Mom! She has been begging to go and she had her license since November, so I picked her up and we went straight to Lewisville. I had to break the engine in for a couple hours and fiddle with the new fish finder. Got done playing with all the toys on the boat and got fimilar with the trolling motor and so forth. Then it was time to see if I could guide my mom to the fish...?

She has never crappie fished before and knew absolutely nothing other than what I said at the seminars. Taught her to cast within 5 minutes and and found a good water temp so we stopped there. On her 1st cast, Slab. Second cast, Slab. Third cast, Slab. Fouth cast, Slab. She missed the 5th one. Everywhere we went the pattern would change a little bit, jig/bobber all the way. 2 ft deep was the norm ( yup, 2 feet deep).






And she LIMITS! (and a bunch of sandies as well....)



Now the baby is asleep, with her 4 other brothers and sisters.



(I will still guide from the banks whenever possible. I will not leave ya'll!) Now I can get to other banks that are just to far, lol...) The crappie spawn is going to be invaded....

Nice boat there Carey. I think I remember some super secret spots on LL for whites and hybrids. Be glad to tag along and show 'em to you. Since I only have a kayak now I can't get to the all of my hot spots.
