I MAY be out there sometime Thursday, don't know if I will fish or not, might just stop by to say hi. Will probably not be in my usual Green Explorer, but rather a Red Highlander or Grey Suburban, depending on whether my mom or dad is driving me lol.

As I've mentioned before, the doctors don't want me doing much driving on my own, so it will probably be my parents driving me out for a while. Dad would fish with me, mom would just drive me out to say hi or whatever. Don't know if I'd bring any gear.

Also, don't know if I'll show up at all or not, but might check the cliffs tomorrow at some point. Maybe.

If I don't see you good luck!

Some one please tell me exactly were the "cliffs" are.

I guessing maybe the area across the cove from the boat ramp on the East side of the Murrel park???

Ya'll talking all the time about carb fishing make it sound very fun. And I'm thinking I might need to try this.

I caught several carp in my life weighing up to about 5 lbs, and I know they can fight.

Maybe tomorrow I could make a run out there and see what it's all about... if I knew exactly where the cliffs were.

Thanks.

What the heck? Forum dropped my post - trying again:

Fishing with Mark and Donnie is fun - great guys and full of enthusiasm for carp / buffalo. They really did well the last time they got together...Plus, they are just all around nice guys to share a bank with.

Here are directions - remember its easy to search these forums, I just searched for 'cliffs directions.'

"Located in the Flower Mound town limits on the north side of the lake. From FM 1171, turn south on FM 2499. Take a right on Flower Mound Road and an immediate left on McKamy Creek. Turn left on Simmons Road and follow to park. once you are in the park we will start out at a place called the "cliffs" if its slow there we can always move to a couple of other spots, to get to the cliffs once in the park you will see a sign that says "little pete's" just follow those signs through the park is a long winding road watch out for the joggers! you will come to a 4 way intersection it will say fishing trail #7 to your left and "little petes" to your right go strait through this intersection you will go about 300 yards and there will be a restroom on your left and a road on your right turn right here go another 100 yards and take a left this road leads to the cliffs there is a big circle parking lot at the end of it just park there. Walk down to the water in front of you where it drops off and you wont miss them"

Thought you carp guys might be interested... Over on the other forum "Texas Fly Report", there's a "Laughing Bass" video segment with LongHairedDave on fly fishing for carp.

I gave Custom30 the opportunity to bring in a fish on one of my rods today after he helped photograph a "double" for me and Donnie and he politely declined. If I remember right when I reeled it in it was a 20+ Buffalo. Talk about kicking yourself later.

Custom30, it was nice to meet you today and I hope you make it out for the "Sasquatch Search Party " Its your turn to get a 20+.

So...Mark...If I'm able to make it Saturday, does that mean you've garuanteeing I'll catch a 20+? LOL.

Been MONTHS since I've broken 20. Even before I was in the hospital, closest I'd come in at least a few months was 17. Hadn't gotten a 20 till spring, but you two have really been tearing them up!

Anyway, 20's or blank, I hope I'm able to catch up with you out there.
