roadtrip, have you been to these places? Are they worth the money? What kind of fish do they stock? Sorry for all the questions, but I need a place to take a friends daughter, that catching at least a couple of fish is garunteed.
Thanks

I love taking kid's fishing and a commend you on taking the initiative of passing the sport on. The great thing about kid's, not unlike myself, is they are happy with a catch as it does not matter the size or species!!
Alot of people whom introduce kid's to fishing take them to a fishing farm. To me thats VERY GENERIC as the kids do not get the FULL sense of the outdoor's or the "at one with nature" aspect that is so important!
I personelly would like to suggest for you to look to your friends and their friends who might know a landowner who will allow yall to comeout and fish. I grew up fishing like that and the friends and relationship's you/they make will last a lifetime!
Take this mission very serious and everyone will be the better for it,
Gregg
Fish hard but never forget your responsibility protecting what we love. Leave a area in better condition than you found it, RESPECT!

Brandon, I have only been to Catfish Corner in Mesquite. I have a friend who takes his grandkids to the one in Crandall. I've seen it from the Hi-way, it looks like a clean well kept place. I don't remember if there is an entry fee, if there is, it is minimal. You pay for what you catch, by the pound. You can't throw any back. When you're finished, they weigh the fish, then collect. It can be expensive. They will clean them for an added fee. The best time to go at Catfish Corner is about an hour and a half before dark. They go around feeding the fish, and it sets off a feeding frenzy. Hold on to your pole. Best pond is front-left as you enter. Its the pond with the fountain. Used to be you could take in coolers full of beverages and snacks. They may have stopped that.Last time I was there they were selling beer with the purchase of a private club membership! Give 'em a call at the numbers above and they'll probably be glad to tell you all you need to know.
