Hello !!

I just bought sonar HDS-8 and Strukture scan LSS-1 and I have some questions about the electrical connection:
A. Photo of power cord Structure scan LSS-1

B. Photos of power cord sonar HDS-8

1. Can two red lines (HDS-8 and LSS-1) I connect together to the battery ?
2. On which wire (of sonar) to install HDS- 8 sonar fuse ?
3. On which wire Structure scan LSS-1 install fuse ?
4. I read somewhere that the yellow wire scan sonar and strukture scan one should connect - whether that's true.
5. Where install (on which wire) in LSS-1 switch ?
6. Is it true that there are two options for connecting to the sonar HDS with Structure scan LSS-1:
- yellow wire connects the two devices and in the moment if I turn the sonar on they are enclosing strukture scan
- switch is mounted on the wire of strukture scan and it depends on me whether I enabled or disabled

Please for the help and the detailed description of ways podłaczenia of these two devices because I don't wish corruptions (to burn) of devices.

Thank you very much in advance for your help !!

1. pwr cords on the lss-1. you will used the yellow, blk and red. You will NOT used the Blue wire.

2. HDS pwr cord. You will NOT used the cords on the right (with 5 wires coming out) You will used the cords on the left. blk, red and yellow.

3. hook the reds to a pwr source with a in line fused and blk to a ground wire or source.

4. connected the 2 yellow wires together from the hds pwr cord and lss-1 pwr cord. WHY: When you pwr up your hds it will turn on the lss-1 box. (sometime people put the yellow wire on a hot switch, unstead of hooking it up the the hds yellow wire.)

I don't see why you couldn't do that way, but most people don't do that way. most people but the yellow wire on a pwr source switch.

The yellow wires connect together so that the lss comes on when you turn on your graph and goes off when you turn the graph off. Unless you want to be able to turn on your graph without turning on the lss then you don't need a switch between them. Also, you don't hook the yellow wires to a power source. It's only there to make the accessories that are connected to the graph come on when you turn on the graph.
