When my brother-in-law and I catch Talapia in the casting net on the canals, he scales them cuts the belly open and guts them. Then he just throws them on the grill. I haven't tried it yet but he sure gets excited when he catches them!!

I have fished Lake Fairfield for a few years using worms for bluegill and have ever only seen one Tilapia caught on a worm. Most people bowfish or catch them in a throw net...I might
try the corn thing, I'm sure they would be a blast to catch on a rod-n-reel...

I catch them all the time using 1/32 oz rooster tails. Just work it slow and they will hit it.

I recently had a whole tilapia in a Mexican restaurant out on E. 7th St. in Austin, called La Playa. I think they have their original place somewhere in South Austin. Anyway, it was scaled and gutted, of course, and cooked with the head on... lightly battered and deep fried. Really good.
