Sunday doesn't look like much of a fishing day. That stinks, because I was really thinking of going out. But it costs me about $60 in gas for the truck and boat and an hour each way and it isn't really worth it to battle it out with 15 other boats in each cove and catch 2-3 fish all day. Saturday might be good though (I can't go that day), depending on when the front comes through. Of course it's still fishing, you never know. I don't have any info outside of what you've already heard/seen on here. Good luck!

How many entries does Champs pull. They are going out of LFM, looks like I can't launch there Saturday.

I may be the only one with these experiences, but looks like a front moving in Friday PM into Saturday AM. My experience is a feeding fremzy in the 1st 6 hrs of so right after the front. The lake is brutal with strong North / Northwest winds, but the fishing can be fantastic. I know most lakes are better right before a front, but Fork seems to be better right after.

Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

400-500 guys throwing at every stump in every cove, I'd find someplace else this weekend.

I fished Fork yesterday with my girlfriend who is a novice. I had her throw a white spinnerbait w/ a tail dipped in garlic dipping dye and a stick bait. Those are the most productive baits for novice this time of year, the fish actually hooks themselves when they hit it. I used plastics and caught only 5, she caught one but it was 4 lbs.
I was shocked that the lake was prety empty yesterday, even though it was wed.

Right now there are a lot of bass moving in the back 1/2 of wind protected creeks on the north half of Lake Fork preparing to spawn. Flip a jig or texas rig to stumps along the creek in 5-10 foot of water. Also on windy days, cast a white chatterbait, spinnerbait, or red rattle trap around 2-5 foot of water using a medium to slow retrieve. In the next couple weeks the weightless worm bite should heat up really well. Hope this helps.
