Just FYI. 80% of the fish that I cleaned from after this past Sat.'s catch had ghost minnows in their bellies. The other had nothing (most had eggs about to pop through the skin), and only 2 had shad bits in their bellies. About 25% males, the rest females.

So, since it looks like the bite is just now starting to heat up. Do we have anyone already making plans for this weekends trips to Somerville? Im thinkin about loading up the flat bottom and trolling with the kiddos to see if they can hook up on some of that Whitebass action.

Oh and that Tundra Cat..It was used to help rescue snow machines from over flow on Big Lake. Some parts from the pressure of snow and ice the water was flowing over and needed to be pulled out..

What, is everyone keeping fishing details to themselves? Anyone going out before this little front pushes through or this weekend?

Not much being reported but I suspect the usual suspects are out there giving it their best. When the lake is low like it is currently the whitebass will be just about anywhere on the lake waiting to move up into the creeks if it will just rain enough to flood them, otherwise only wave action over shallow points and humps will have spawning whites.
