I was 5 when Dad took me out in the boat and gave me a fly rod with a minnow and a bobber.I caught a 3 lb bass,a real nice fish in those days, and it lived in the freezer for three years after that!

Gotta thank Uncle Larry for having the patience to teach a 7 year old how to run a baitcaster. I remember lots of days in the backyard flipping a practice weight into a 5 gallon bucket. Don't know what I'd be doing if it wasn't for the hunting and fishing hobbies I was raised on. I think we all should remember the person that taught us and remember to pay it forward by teaching a few kids along the way. Maybe someday they will mention us!!

Brother I've found you !!!!

You think that's bad? I was raised by Vilma! How do you think I feel?

grew up on a ranch in south Tejas. had a 300 acre stock pond about 50 yards from front door. I was born with the love to fish.

A bike and zebco 202 fishing the creeks around Sherman, Texas got my butt beat many times for skipping school and going fishing. We would ride are bikes 10 miles one way to go fish, now you can't let kids out of sight.

My father bigred12. my earliest childhood memories involve fishing. from when i was three or four years losing my lime green rod in the back of birch past the powerlines. Every time I'm in birch i can still remember exactly were sank to the bottom. I remember prefishing w/ him as far back as i can remember. Then all those tournaments as a kid hanging out at weigh-in all day long catching a release fish here and there lol. sunny glen was favorite place to fish from the bank back then. i wish hydrilla still grew there. that lake use to have some of clearest water back then.
