Water was fairly clear in the coves.... but fish more on main lake points than in the coves. Water temp 55 to 60... Wind light.

Caught 22... some nice ones, largest was 6-2, some 3s and 4s.

This is the 6-2.

a 4

Just a great day on the lake.

Well, yesterday we went catching... today we went fishing... only caught 2 today... small ones.

Also went to Aqulla today... water is muddy/murky there. Water temps are 55 to 60. Didn't get a bite at any of our usual fishing holes. So, we loaded up and went back to Whitney.. it was just a tough day all around.

You said water was fairly clear in the coves? Is this up towards the dam your fishing or mid lake?

This was mid lake... actually, if you are one of the guys that can "sight fish" there are plenty of bass on the bed... but, that is not our skill set... we can't get them to bite.. but the water is very clear in the back of the rocky coves and creeks and you can clearly see the bass on the nest, especially in the sandy areas... very frustrating.

Also if you are one of the guys who enjoys bow hunting carp there are also lots of them starting to float around on top of the water... we saw many in schools yesterday when the sun warmed the water.. they were in the coves too, but mostly out in the open water.

Don't be giving away our secrets...

No, but Tuesday the fish seemed like they were exploding on those Old Monster worms.. it wasn't the gentle tap-tap... it was those hard grab and runs.... no doubts about the bites. They wore us out. They were on the feed... the cows were feeding, the goats were feeding, the birds were feeding and the fish were feeding..

But, yesterday (Wednesday) we needed some of those chartreuse hand grenade lures... the fish just didn't bite, not t-rigs, not c-rigs, not top water, not-crank baits.. nadda.

Same thing today tried all 4 too, figured something out late in the day and caught 7, but this was the first time in a LONG time that I could not get bit on plastics out there. Water looks good this year no sigh of golden algae so far.
