I fished tyler for the first time last weekend and caught 4 pickerel over the two day weekend. caught them on traps. All around 12-14 inches. when I asked the locals on their docks and a few locals fishing, they were almost clueless about the species or had never caught them. How man of you guys have caught pickerel from lake tyler? is it common? they seemed to be righ up there with the bass. Have pic not sure how to post it

A couple years or so ago when Basstrix swimbaits first came out and before all the knockoffs I ordered a bunch of them and overpaid because I thought I HAD to have them. I have caught 2 that were bigger then that. caught one a few years ago on pines that was about 5 1/2 and one this last November that was close to 6 pounds from the big cypress bayou. The last one was a little over 28 inches
