I posted this on another forum some of you are members of, and got a great response, but thought I'd ask here as well.

So, here it is. I'm new to LMB fishing and mainly rely on worms and spinners because of past success, but want to expand my knowledge.

I won some "Hag's Undertakers" during a contest (thanks, Hag's) and am not sure how to work them.

How do you successfully work a "crawfish?"

thanks

You can pitch around docks or other cover or just cast it out and work it back like a tx rig worm.

Like a crawfish! hammer Sorry, that was too easy!

Just use your imagination and pitch it in areas where crawfish hang out, and make it move like a crawfish moves. Don't over think it.

I dont have any crawfish baits, but Im definitely going to get some.

You can on Google and find some videos on crawfish behavior and try to mimic the same thing.

Crawfish love deep Hydrila. I like to heavy dropshot them on a short 5" rig through the mat. The deeper the Hydrila the better

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

Thanks.

That's what I was wondering (behavior) and hadn't thought of looking for vids.

well I kept fish in an aquarium for a while and fed them bass fish craw dad's on a regular basis, and one thing i found was the dad's that did not get gobbled up usually burrowed up next to some object and as the light dimmed they would venture out to scavenge...well they weren't expecting that bass to be there for the opportunity...dad's make a lot of noise creeping along the bottom - the best way to mimic the dad is to drag a plastic craw or jig-n-pig along the bottom with a hop now and again to force a strike, that will closely mimic the dad - but you have to let the fish tell you what there looking for be it crawling, hopping, swimming, ect...bass love dad's !!!
