Can someone give me direction please? I use to launch my boat from here way back when(1980's). I know I use to take 281 north past the bridge in Spring Branch to the big golf ball & I would turn right on that road. I can't remember the rest of the way.I am ready for some white bass fishing. Thanks. Chief Mike.

To the boat ramp, take 281 to FM306. Turn right (only way) Follow 306 about 5-6 miles until Eagle Rock Road. Turn right on on Eagle Rock, it's turns to the left soon. You'll hang a right where the boat ramp sign is. It's back in there a good 3-4 miles or so.

Take the Golf ball and go right. Go down to the Golf course the road and turn is to the left with a boat sign on the stop sign, right before the Golf course entry on the right. Follow road and when you can turn to your right turn road kinda of y's, continue down to the end,at the stop sign take a right and follow down to the river. Hope this helps. I went down last weekend and the fish where still in the river to the left not many reported up at the rapids. Hope this helps.

Go on the river at rebecca creek and troll rattle traps for white bass. You should hook a few.

I know this is an old post but could you run a boat in this section of the creek and river?

The lake is full so no problem launching or going either upstream or downstream from the #11 launch. You can run a boat all the way up to the big house roughly 4 mi. up river, and you'll know it when you see it on the right. That is where the river narrows and the rapids usually begin. Water is high as of last week so you probably can go still further upstream from the "big house!" Lot of trees lining the river channel and banks so stay in the middle of the channel you'll be ok. I would strongly suggest using a four wheel drive vehicle using the launch. Be warned!....It's the worst launch on the lake as in being steep and slick. I've seen many a two wheel vehicle having to be pulled out of the launch because of no traction. I've backed down that ramp before and locked up my brakes, and had my truck continue to slide down the ramp. It's about a 9 on the pucker scale. If it's dry you can probably not have too much trouble, but it only takes someone launching before you to just put a little water on the ramp, and then your toast. The white bass run is pretty much over, so there might not be as many people using the ramp that can pull you out, so keep that in mind if trying the two wheel drive.

Friend of mine launched a 22ft pontoon there 2 years back. You have to back a toon WAY down. When they got ready to stop the backing and launch, the whole rig truck and all kept sliding a few inches. Pucker factor 9.5

This story has nothing to do with the slickness of the ramp, but several years back during the run, I pulled up to the ramp right before daybreak. We noticed something round sticking up out of the water at the bottom of the ramp and off to the side. I got a sudden bad feeling as I walked down the ramp with a flashlight to try to identify what the object was, and then as the beam shined on the object I could see that it was the hull of an upside down boat. We were the only ones there and no other vehicles with empty trailers, so evidently they left it to come back later. We launched and when we came back to the launch later that day the parking lot had filled up and the sunken boat was still there. We came back several days later and it was again still there, but then a week or so later we went back and it was gone. Could be someone was trying to get rid of a junk boat????

Many people without 4X4 have to be towed off that Rebecca creek ramp when they recover their boat. It's very steep. Get your camera out in late afternoon for some great video footage and you may get to hear a few new combinations of swear words.
