Those Bucks Bags do look very sturdy, I'd also recommend Fly Tech if you can still find them, I believe Stearn's bought them out; I have fished out of a Fly Tech Uboat for about 5 years now and have not had it leak once. I'm well over 250 myself and 6'3". Wearing a life vest and sitting on a boat cushion can also make tubing more comfortable for us "BFB's"...good fishing to you!...BL

Have you guys had any experience with or heard of Trout Traps float tubes? I recently made another E-bay impulse purchase and won a new Trout Traps Pro-350 for under $50. Normal retail is around $200. The tube boasts of having a 350 pound weight limit, a rubber innertube, and a lifetime warranty on the cover. The seller is listing several other tubes on e-bay. I hope to get it in the mail this week and will try it out next weekend. I will post a review if anyone is interested. Hopefully the "you get what you pay for" adage doesn't always apply to E-bay impulse purchases. On a related topic, would anyone like to buy a set of Ping Eye 2 Irons? Here is a review of the tube I found online: http://mikemonteith.tripod.com/tubeadventures/id11.html Terry

Streak,
I believe the Bighorn is rated out to 350 pounds. They have them at BP. I think they're about 130 bucks.

Streakbreaker, I've owned one of the Bighorns. It's a great tube and will suit (float) you just fine. The seams came unsewn on mine after a year or so, as is common with the Trout Unlimited models that BPS sells. They will let you exchange it pretty easily from what I've heard thru Fishbrain. I'd have no problem recommending the Bighorn, but if you want to spend a little more on a tube that has the higher capacity and is alot better made tube, check out www.bucksbags.com Kelly

I got my Trout Traps Pro-350 earlier this week, and it looks/feels like a really well made float tube. The thing is gigantic though. I just inflated it and it is 48" in diameter. I am certain that it could support up to a 400 lb. individual. The only drawback is that it is a round tube and might be more dificult to get into for the 'not so nimble' angler. I look forward to taking it out this weekend. The seller is still listing a few tubes on e-bay if you might be interested. Just search for (trout traps).

Streak,
Me too. I hit the sacle at about 270. I didnt think they made a tube or kayak that could hold up for big men. Definately gonna take a closer look at it now.
