My friend Doyle Holman traverses this path and has to endure this scenery on the way to his fishing hole on the Kenai River in Alaska!

I call it his "Alaska the Beautiful" tour: Hope you like these pics as much as I do!

I think with this Texas heat and humidity, I might be down to skivvies, and rolling around in one of those snow banks on those peaks!

And, Oh Yeah, Doyle catches a few fish too! In this case spawning grounds bound Sockeye Salmon!:

And these salmon end up like this, once they have met and tangled with Mr Holman:

Grilled Salmon Steaks, w/grilled C o C and veggies!

Wonder what wine they selected for this feast?

Beautiful scenery!

You think you'd ever get use to that if you lived there?

That's why I love living in the Fort Worth area.
I really appreciate the scenery everywhere else, but no way am I leaving Texas again.

Those mountains & fish looked photo shopped!!!

They look to good to be true. I love Texas & the thought of leaving makes me feel a little queezy.

Photoshopped? Oh please!!!!!!!!
I got a bunch of pics he's sent me in the last two yrs or so from his jaunts to Alaska. I got em all in my photo gallery in www.myfishingpictures.com.

My favorites are the ones of the 29 lb king salmon he's caught, and the 85 lb halibut he took out of the Gulf of Alaska on a party boat.

Photoshopped! Yeah Right!

I can't wait till he gets back so we can hit the hybrids and sandies at RC this fall and winter! Doyle is the RC GURU, bar none!

Doyle is the man at sandbass and hybrids. He is my uncle's uncle if that makes any sense (I think). My uncle just got back from alaska visiting with him. Cant wait to here the stories. He is hell on sandies and hybrids and real fast with an electric knife.

I've been to Anchorage and let me just say Alaska gives you a whole new perspective on the outdoors. Although I ,like a few of you, will most likely never leave Texas, I would miss it to damn much and us native Texans are becoming an endangered species.

I saw the mention of the halibut and when I was there I had a lunch of fresh fried halibut chunks, oh man it made me dizzy it was so good!

Fish hard but never forget your responsibility protecting what we love. Leave a area in better condition than you found it, RESPECT!
