how do you guys forecast how the crappie fishing is gonna be there this year during the spawn? It's about 20 min distance from where i am living now. I only went there once last year and didn't get a bite.

I've never tried crappie on 380, but I hit Snake Creek on Lavon for the first time last year and caught quite a few during the spawn. If you live in Princeton or near that area, I would definitely suggest Snake Creek for the spawn!!!

snake creek huh...actually never heard of it, but will ck it out.... lake is down alot from last year so theres no telling how alot of the normal spots will pan out this year. i dont see the level coming up before spawn. should be interesting

thanks josh, i live in mckinney. u mind if you can pm me where that creek is at and how i can access that area from the bank? snake creek isn't snake creek cuz there are a lot of snake, is it? man, don't matter how good of fishing is, if there are a load of snakes, i am not there.... I normally fish for crappie at little ridge park, but that's still too far... I need some place more close... Thanks for your info...

but to answer your question about 380, it may be one of the more reliable spots this year due to the water level at alot of the other normal spawning grounds... i havent fished 380 in several years, but i know several bank fishermen who swear by it

Is snake creek the small creek on the far North end of Lavon?

usually the button willows down by the boat ramp, on the sheltered side of the bridge can be great, wade and jig about 1-2 ft deep, but this year the lake is low, and the willows are high and dry, we all need to pray for rain if we want a good spring season

380s been fairly productive for me, I'm thinkin with these water levels it should be pretty good this year!

Going east on lucus rd heading towards fm 982, turn right at the bbq stand across from gas station, co rd 437. Scoll in on this map. The little creek jutting in at the corner of Pecan Dr and co rd 437 is Snake Creek.
Hope you have a truck you don't mind scratching up. Tree branches on trail.
