+1

I have gotten lazy with the traditional wax and polishing and switched the the BTS wax as you dry kinda method.

I still should do a good yearly wax and buff, however... I was using 3M marine products from academy.

I use BTS and haven't waxed in 6 yrs and my boat looks like new. I apply it a couple of times a year and works great.

Zymol Marina. Best fiberglass wax there is.

I think if you try BTS, you won't go back to anything else. Not only can you use it on your gelcoat, but on your seats, trailer, motor, etc. You can even use it on your tow vehicle.

Sometime I do and sometime I have it done, but I always use Zymol to wax and Bass Boat saver to wipe down when she comes out of the water.

A lot of us at Alan Henry keep a spray bottle mixed 50/50 water and vinegar. Squirt down boat, motor, windshields, seats, etc. and wipe with a dedicated old soft towel. Removes hard water spots and grime, and keeps your boat shiny and looking new.

That would work but I cannot stand the smell of vinegar.

I used Turtle Wax Car wax last spring and it still beads water on the rails and consoles. I'm very happy with it and it's only $3.50 a can. thumb

I used to use Lemon Pledge. It worked pretty well in a pinch. I just bought a new to me boat and did not have anything on hand so I went to the pantry and swiped some Pledge from the wife's stock. I'll have to find me some BTS.
