Has anyone fished the creek in Waxahachie that runs under I-35 and Highway 77 for crappie??

The creek looks like Choc Milk right now. I passed by yesterday &saw no one. Today I checked it out caught Two nice ones in a span of 20 mins.One other guy had a nice keeper then they just stopped biting.I used a Carey Thorn method.!! a Little jig & a little bober. They are`nt quite thick in there yet a little more rain should do the trick and bring the females in.

Hey 007, we fish this creek for sandies and LMB's mostly. Thick with both, but there are some saddle blanket crappie in there too. But me personally, i target the sandies. From this time of yr till next November, I am pretty much done with crappie. I target them in the dead of winter almost exclusively
