Does anyone know about the Sunny Glen Marina on Cedar Creek? Next month we have a small club tournament on Cedar Creek and looking to launch somewhere out of near Malakoff...Sunny Glen looked good because of its size and private run for better security overall...any ideas on that? Thanks for any info. noidea

I think most tournys and clubs use Log Cabin. It's private, minimal cost to launch and secure.

If I'm not mistaken, Sunny Glen is closed and being cleaned up and rennovated. Even if you could launch there, might be a problem since lake level is so low. That is a pretty steep ramp.

Don't know about the security, but there is a launch at Log Cabin, and the public ramp located on the north east side of the 198 bridge between Malakoff and Caney City.

Thanks - Found the right number - this is the City of Log Cabin that has the ramp and the launch area has security and costs $5 to launch...located on Alamo Dr off of FM 3054. thumb

we should name the lakes in East Texas' "meth country" , the speed mile. Its sad we have to worry about our vehicles first!

Right about that...gotta do what you can though until such time that the conditions change or all the perps are caught; which by the way it appears will be never...

Sunny Glen is no more. Closed completely. You might try Fishermans Wharf. It has a nice ramp. Not a huge parking area but good for small tournaments. It's near Malakoff off 198. Turn right on 3062 at Fire Station and turn right on 1703 and follow it down to the marina. I think the launch price is $3.00.

Ain't that the truth. They got my wife for 4 miles over a couple months ago..
Funniest thing I've seen down there though was when one of them was standing on the ramp directing us down at launch one morning.. crazy
