Im surprised the ramp is closed. I was there also all weekend and as Atx said, the biggest boat I saw launch was that aluminum boat, but the water is still much higher than it was last year and I remember boats using the ramp quite a bit last year.

Water is anywhere from 3.5 to 4 feet over the sandbar.

I'll be there again during that time Atx. Even this past weekend when all the drive in sites were sold out, it looked like there were plenty of cancellations, so I bet you could still get you a camp site, whether the drive in or the walk in.

I was on Bend this past Friday and will be again on Friday. I launched a blue aluminum 17' boat on Friday and it was a little painful getting it out. You may have seen me, ha! I am putting in at Cedar Point this time and making the trek up the river. Last Friday I went the full 15-16 miles to Silver Creek. I am not sure what sandbar you are talking about but I watched my depth finder the whole way, so if you want to know abt a location let me know. After the falls where the river opens up it is about 3.5' deep, the rest of the river anywhere from 5-9'.

I went this past Sat 2/26. I put in at Cedar Park and fished all the way up the river to the state park. Talked to several guys and biggest stringer I heard was 5 sand bass. It seemed real slow. I stopped to fish at different points all the way up the river and didn't catch a thing. Bass and Striped Bass were good on the main lake holding at about 7-11 feet. I saw more than a dozen boats and several dozen guys along the bank up at Bend. That was enough for me to turn around and make the 15 mile trip back to the main lake.

I'm glad I'm fishing for white bass and not sand bass!
