We went out Tuesday at Kickapoo Creek and caught 16 crappie in ~10 ft water, 75% minnows and the rest on a black/chartreuse jig. Here is the biggest one(on minnow), weighing in at 2 lbs:
The trashfish on your right weighed in at 4 12. Not to worry, crappie anglers, his body is resting safely in my freezer.
We went out again Wednesday and had a 45 min period of frenzy biting. It was probably the fastest bite I have ever seen(minnows). All but 3 fish were over 11 inches, taking a total of 50 between the two of us.
Me, the old man, and my dog Charlie, who provided the needed luck:
Caught an 18" flathead on a black and blue jig, ultra lite rod:
We threw him back.
