They are here again! The food boxes and containers in the pantry are not safe. We got them out of the house a couple of years ago, but they are back. The trouble is that our home is on a pier and beam foundation and they find new ways to enter. They get under the house and enter through a small opening between the dishwasher and cabinet. I stopped up the hole with steel wool and yesterday morning the steel wool was laying on the kitchen floor. Last night I put out some bait cubes and two of them were missing this morning. That should do it. Check on this thread in about a week about the results.

We just bought a house banana that had been abandoned for a while, someone had put out poison. When had to pull down some sheetrock that someone had hung and not finished and no insulation. We went to pull down the ceiling and OMG several dead rats fell down with the sheetrock. Since then (couple weeks ago) I have found several dead ones. Thank God no signs of any new ones. And we have a tom cat that will hunt them, so not worried bout it. Hope you get rid of them.

I had them sneaking into my garage through a small hole by my hot water heater a few years ago. I used expanding foam to fill the hole and havnt had any more problems.

Put out dog food and let them eat and get used to it.

After a couple days super glue it to multiple rat traps and set them out.

Or get a cat and make it live under the house.

The bait cubes worked.
Had not seen any sign of them the last couple of nights. Last night I put a few pieces of dog food chunks on the kitchen floor and they were still there this morning.
The green bait cubes on the shelves at Home Depot work as advertised. I think we only had one rat and it ate only one or two of the cubes.
The wife is happy again!

I learned you never want a rat in your boat! They eat a lot of important wires, cork handles on rods, the epoxy on guide feet, lifejackets & leave nasty droppings all over the place! Yes I learned this the hard way.
