Overcast sky should help you sneak up on some big trout.
Good Luck.

Tides are really low right now, pretty thin in the back lakes, but the reefs were working well.

Well...it was a medium...
Decent trout on the mid bay reefs, redfish were scattered and spooky in the lakes, caught just a few before finally decided it was becoming a wasted effort. You can tell, a few decent high tides and it'll be game on for sure.
I did find out today, if you fill your jet with enough oyster shells, it'll quit working.

A group of us are headed down there this weekend. Any help on baits to throw or is it just the usual stuff like nortons and topwaters this time of year? Thanks

Sure... Best bite came on pumpkin/chart. Hogies super minnow on a 1/8 oz oldham jighead.
Topwater bite was pretty erratic, the wind was howling when we were there, and if it was calm and clear enough to throw it, no fish, they really piled up on the downwind side of the back lakes in the muddier water. One good spring bull tide and they'll be going crazy on it, just didn't happen for us.
