are their any laws on putting out brush piles on a public lake?

call the governing lake authority for each one, and ask them personally. so say it is ok with inspection, and some you have to do under the cover of darkness(they say no)... you have to take risks, to gain rewards wink

I've heard of people dropping used Christmas trees in their favorite fishing spots with good results. Anyone tried that?

Main law is to not let anyone see WHERE you are dropping them. But having said that, with the new sonar technology available to fishermen today they will not stay undetected for very long. Also use more weight to sink them than you think needed. Those things have a tendency to move on you.

it's not hard to figure out.people who have brush piles do not
run past them.keep yor eyes open. they tend to drive right up to
it & stop. i see one guy all the time doin it on Aquilla.
i'm sittin there thinkin--- where do u buy brakes for a pontoon!!

What lake are you wanting to sink stuff on and maybe that will get you an exact answere. Here on CC it's legal to drop brush piles.
