Got a question...does a Spot have to be under 16" or can it be in the slot and brought to the scales?

You're gonna catch a Spot over 16" at Fork?

To answer your question...I don't know...but I imagine the slot on the lake applies to all "basses."

Actually the slot only applies to largemouth per TP&W, but the question is, can it be weighed in at a Basschamps event?

I don't know if I am going to catch a spot over 16" but one was cought over 17" in December, so you never know. Better to know the answer ot the question than tryng to figure it out during tournament hours.

Absolutely agreed. Like I said, I dunno for sure. Perhaps the State law applies. It does in most tournaments. I'll bet someone will come along here in a minute that knows the definitive answer.

BlackBass614...I have fished Fork since I was 10 years old. I also fish Fork three days a week. I know how to tell the difference between a spot and LG.

I have cought a few at Fork, plus a new record was establised in December for spotted bass.

Oh it was caught. He's right about that. Ask Cameron at Lake Fork Marina about the fish. I'm sure he has photos.

Spots over 16" have been weighed in tournaments in the past. Not sure basschamps ruling on it, but other trails have let it go. I don't think you will have to worry about it though, I see more sharelunkers than I do spots over 16"
