Small problem with the washer discharge drain. 7yr old Maytag within the last few weeks when the unit spins and discharges all the water and continues through the spin cycle suds start appearing at the top of the drain pipe which is approx 4 foot high off the finished floor. Has worked properly for years and now all of a sudden this. No water just suds not enough to make anything wet. It happens on every load even if you haven't ran one in a few days. Could it be inside the unit or something in the drain or vent? It seems to be getting a back siphon or back pressure. Ran a snake down the drain...nothing. Anyone with any ideas? Also we only use about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of tide liquid same brand for years. Thanks.
If I ever get back to Oklahoma, I'm gonna nail my feet to the ground!

Same problem here. It is the drain. Work on the vent and the main house drain and that should do it. You may need to run the snake several times down the washer drain. The best snake is the one powered by a cordless drill. It makes your job much easier.

Septic or city sewer? If city sewer pm me I sell a product that will clean the soap scum build up that a snake will run right by.
