The lake is 10' low and can be decieving... you can be running in 60 foot of water and cross into water 1 or 2 feet deep before you can react to the depth finder (50 yards or more off shore).... there are some humps and long points there that will eat your lower unit... that's not to mention the other structure in the upper end of the lake (above Juniper Cove).

Take care.

Have you checked your scales, the fish you post up always look bigger than what you say they are.

joho is on to something. Looking at the mouth on that 5-15 makes me think you are in kilograms! Thats a beast...

Wow thanks for that advice. I will try to watch out. Thanks

I donno.... the scales are set to pounds and ounces... but, I just weighed a 10 lb bag of sugar 3 times and got 3 different answers... all low... from 3 to 6 ounces low... but that is not a lot, close enough for our purposes. Of course that could have made my 9 1/2 a lot closer to 10.. But, then again, I weighed that fish several times and it always seemed to be 9lbs 8oz.

I don't fish bass tournaments, so its not that big a deal... BUT we do want to find a fish or two that will top the 10 lb mark.. that's the goal. When we get one that big, we will try to find some certified scales somewhere in Whitney.

Pointer #1: Be on the lookout for a big red and white bass boat potentially riding low in the water loaded down with fish.
