I personally enjoy fishing North Lake in Denton off Bonnie Brae, I have also heard that the string of ponds in Coppel are good, and aparently there is a pond in Frisco off of a golf course, but I'm not too sure about that one either.

Ahhh..... What great memories I have of pond hopping... I caught some MONSTER fish around Sanger, and yes, I got ran off a few times too. Now days, it's a lot easier to get permission instead of trying to beg for forgiveness as you're being hauled off, or worse, being shot at.
They call that criminal trespassing when you turn 18.

Just our of curiousity, has anyone here ever fished a pond west of Bolivar that was owned by a retired dentist, a Doc Sanders? I'm not sure if he's still alive or not, but this was a govt watershed lake with a spillway. It was maybe 10 acres or so, but it had some of the biggest channel cats I've ever caught.. My friend's dad caught one that one that was just over 20lbs.(I witnessed this) It also had tons of bass and crappie...

At one time I had permission to fish it, but for some stupid reason haven't gone out there in probably 14 or 15 years. Maybe I should see if he's still around???
